Dragon Age: The Veilguard’s First Week Sales in Europe Were Lower Than Dragon’s Dogma 2 and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

Dragon Age: The Veilguard has divided opinion, as Dragon Age games tend to do, but how has it fared on the commercial side of things? Publisher EA has yet to provide any official tidbits about how the action RPG has sold so far, but as per European sales data provided by GSD, it seems to be tracking below other major releases in the genre this year so far.

That’s as per GamesIndustry’s Christopher Dring, who recently shared the aforementioned details on Twitter, stating that Dragon Age: The Veilguard was the seventh-highest selling game in Europe for the month of October. Reportedly, its first week sales in the region are 18 percent lower than what Dragon’s Dogma 2 managed upon its release earlier this year, and 21 percent below what Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth saw.

Recently, Dring reported that Dragon Age’s launch performance in the UK was “almost exactly the same” as the two aforementioned titles. On Steam, it saw a peak of over 89,000 concurrent players, making it EA’s biggest single-player game on the platform.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Read our review of the game through here.<Free Bonus on Registration/p>
