Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele has told the club that he wants to leave before the summer transfer window closes this month, according to . Ndombele has wanted to leave for a while, and he made it clear to Spurs earlier this summer that he does not want to be at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium anymore.

Premier League referees’ chief Howard Webb says the change in approach on added time is here to stay, despite early criticism from top-flight players and managers.

Referees in competitions worldwide have been instructed by the game’s lawmakers to measure time lost to stoppages more accurately, an approach first adopted at the World Cup in Qatar last year where an additional 11 minutes and six seconds were played on average in the group stage.

Webb said the change was necessary as football gets to grips with the “dark arts” of time-wasting, with a a more robust approach set to be taken to dealing with players who delay restarts in play.

Struggling Palmeiras have sacked Brazil World Cup-winning coach Luiz Felipe Scolari on Thursday.

Manchester United have completed the signing of Germany international Bastian Schweinsteiger from Bayern Munich on a three-year deal.

On Saturday, both clubs revealed a deal had been agreed and on Monday the midfielder s move to United was confirmed in a huge coup for the Premier League side.

Schweinsteiger, 30, heads to Old Trafford after a trophy-laden spell at Bayern, where he started as a youth player in 1998. He was reported to have told the Bundesliga giants he would not extend his stay beyond the end of his contract, which had just one more season to run.

UEFA document outlines Platini payment – report

The alleged disloyal payment made by FIFA to Michel Platini that resulted in the UEFA president and FIFA chief Sepp Blatter being suspended was detailed in a 1998 UEFA Executive Committee report, according to reports by French newspaper Journal du Dimanche.

Platini and Blatter are due to attend personal hearings with FIFA s ethics judge from December 16 in relation to the alleged payment of two million Swiss francs, received by the former France captain in 2011 for work he claims to have carried out for world football s governing body between 1999 and 2002.
